Shaba Speech & Hearing Centre was founded in 1995. 31 years on, the promise is the same one written on the wall when it opened.

Beginning

A South Mumbai practice with a long view.

Shaba was founded by Dr. Fatema Jagmaag, an audiologist and speech pathologist and first ranker of BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, who has practised in South Mumbai for more than three decades.

The centre has its own fully equipped sound-proof audio room — the base from which children’s hearing is monitored over years. Shaba also coordinates repairs, batteries and accessories for hearing aids and cochlear implants, so families have one place to turn.
